Red Sea Global (RSG) announced the discovery of a giant Pavona coral colony within the waters of AMAALA on Saudi Arabia\u2019s northwestern coast. The colony, comparable in size to the world\u2019s largest known coral structures, is the biggest of its kind documented in the Red Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Estimated to be between 400 and 800 years old, the coral was identified by RSG scientists Rhonda Suka and Sylvia Jagerroos, who are now leading its mapping and study. RSG stated that access to the site will align with its responsible tourism policies, minimizing environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
