His Eminence said: “We have never witnessed in human history treatment like that of Imam Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) toward his enemies and opponents\u2014not even in this day and age, especially in those countries that raise slogans of freedom and human rights. You find that as soon as they achieve victory in their unjust battles and capture the leaders of the opposing side, they imprison them or refer them to special courts, labeling them as war criminals, traitors, or conspirators, and may even execute them.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi noted that the conduct of Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) represents a sublime model of just governance based on divine and humanitarian principles.
