The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) condemned the attack, calling for stronger action against Islamophobia. Ajax Mayor Shaun Collier and library board chair Piyali Correya expressed solidarity with the victim, emphasizing the need to combat hate and intolerance, especially during Ramadan.
