The federal government and the governments of Punjab and Balochistan submitted their responses, while Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa requested more time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail questioned the need for court intervention, citing ongoing government efforts to introduce Quranic education. Petitioner Aneeq Khattana argued that despite these claims, no official notifications had been issued regarding a consensus-based translation of the Quran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Punjab government defended its position by referencing &#8220;The Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Act, 2018,&#8221; which mandates Quranic education from Grades I to XII.
