Prices of basic goods have surged, making essentials unaffordable for most families. Haq noted reports of increasing hunger and armed attacks along the route to El Fasher, as well as concerns about improvised explosive devices within the camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Khartoum, severe malnutrition and critical medicine shortages have been reported, especially among children and pregnant women. The UN calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities and unhindered humanitarian access, warning of devastating consequences for millions if swift intervention does not occur.
