Construction of a new women\u2019s and children\u2019s hospital in Gaza City, funded by Indonesian NGOs and the public, will commence next month, Arab News reported. The project, costing 402 billion rupiah ($24.5 million), is organized by the Aqsa Working Group and Maemuna Center Indonesia, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hospital, named Indonesian Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA Indonesia), will be located on a 5,000 square-meter plot donated by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. AWG chairman Muhammad Anshorullah emphasized the need for healthcare for women and children in Gaza, especially given the ongoing violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This facility will be the second in Gaza to carry Indonesia\u2019s name, following the Indonesia Hospital in northern Gaza, which has been operational since 2015. The Indonesian government and people view support for Palestine as a constitutional mandate against colonialism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
