The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), based in Germany, has launched a new round of grants aimed at supporting young life scientists in establishing independent laboratories, Anadolu Agency reported. The funding, available in multiple countries including T\u00fcrkiye, will provide \u20ac50,000 ($54,314) annually for three to five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In T\u00fcrkiye, the scientific and technological research council, TUBITAK, administers EMBO programs that offer scholarships and support for life scientists. Since the program’s inception in 2006, 159 young researchers have benefitted, with 43 establishing labs in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funding structure includes \u20ac35,000 from TUBITAK for the first three years, with EMBC covering the remainder. In subsequent years, TUBITAK will provide full funding. Researchers can also apply for additional grants of \u20ac10,000 annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eligible applicants must have a PhD obtained within the last nine years and have spent at least two years abroad in the past four years. Applications are open until April 15 through the EMBO application system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
