Omar Salha, founder of the RTP, highlighted the joy of seeing diverse communities come together, stating, \u201cEvery year, it seems we are creating new history, but at the same time, we are building new bridges.\u201d The event attracted participants from London, Scotland, Cambridge, Sheffield, and even a family from South Africa, showcasing the multicultural spirit of Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s iftar featured poetry and the Maghreb prayer, followed by a meal prepared by Comptoir Libanais. Attendees enjoyed traditional dishes like chicken and aubergine with chickpeas, pilau rice, and yogurt. Stella Kanu, CEO of Globe Theatre, expressed hopes for the iftar to become a recurring event, emphasizing its role in fostering friendship and community.
