He stated, &#8220;Enduring hardship is not haram (forbidden) but rather allowed, as fasting is meant to provide ease, not obligation.&#8221; He explained that elderly individuals have the option to either endure difficulties and fast or to break their fast and make up for it after Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"569\" src=\"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/03\/photo_2025-03-09_20-17-19.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-120351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/03\/photo_2025-03-09_20-17-19.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/03\/photo_2025-03-09_20-17-19-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/03\/photo_2025-03-09_20-17-19-768x437.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He referenced the views of the late author of &#8220;Urwat al-Wuthqa&#8221; and many other jurists, who have noted that the concept of fear can coexist with doubt and suspicion. He added that in such circumstances, &#8220;fear&#8221; of not fasting is valid. However, he clarified that if the probability of hardship is low\u2014such as one, five, or ten percent\u2014then that probability is not considered rational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, he pointed out that the term &#8220;probability&#8221; does not appear in the Hadith; instead, the term &#8220;fear&#8221; is used.
