WFP Sudan spokesperson Leni Kinzli warned that without immediate assistance, thousands of families in Zamzam face starvation in the coming weeks. She emphasized the urgent need to resume safe aid delivery, stating that “the fighting must stop, and humanitarian organizations must be granted security guarantees.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, two million people across 27 locations in Sudan are experiencing or nearing famine, with the ongoing conflict since April 2023 resulting in over 20,000 deaths and 14 million displaced.
