Iraq\u2019s Ministry of Immigration and Displacement has repatriated more than 12,500 Iraqi nationals from al-Hol camp in northeast Syria\u2019s Hasaka province, the ministry confirmed on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spokesperson Ali Jahangir stated that 21 convoys have transported Iraqi families linked to ISIS back to Iraq, where most are temporarily housed in al-Jada camp in Nineveh for rehabilitation and reintegration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jahangir added that around 15,000 Iraqis remain in al-Hol, awaiting repatriation under coordination between the Iraqi government and the Kurdish-led administration in Rojava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baghdad plans to return all its nationals from such camps in Syria under an agreement with the United Nations.
