The Uks Research Centre has unveiled its Uks AI (Beta) platform, an artificial intelligence tool designed to identify gender bias in media content. Launched on February 12, 2025, the tool aims to address the unconscious perpetuation of gender stereotypes in journalism, particularly regarding women’s issues and violence against women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uks, a media monitoring and advocacy organization, has been working for over two decades to improve media reporting on gender-related topics. The newly developed AI tool targets journalists, editors, and reporters, providing immediate, actionable feedback on their writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a press release, the tool analyzes content through four critical lenses: clear stereotypes, subtle biases, neutral portrayals, and content that actively challenges gender stereotypes. It helps media professionals recognize problematic patterns in their language, offering specific suggestions for more balanced representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
