CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell commended law enforcement for thwarting the plot and highlighted the need for increased security in light of rising anti-Muslim hate incidents. CAIR recommends that mosques implement basic safety precautions, such as installing security cameras, practicing emergency evacuation plans, and employing armed guards for major events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organization also encourages community leaders to utilize its \u201cBest Practices for Mosque and Community Safety\u201d booklet.
