Grand Ayatollah Shirazi highlighted verse 43 of Surah Al-Baqarah, stating that Ruku\u2019 (bowing) in prayer signifies humility, while Sujood (prostration) represents a greater level of submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Eminence further noted that the Holy Quran and the traditions of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) emphasize both mandatory and recommended prostrations, but there are no verses or traditions concerning bowing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
