Since May 2024, CR has assessed and certified 50 hotels in Hong Kong for their Muslim travel readiness, a sharp rise from just a few accredited properties previously. Top-rated hotels, such as Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and Marriott Hong Kong Ocean Park, earned five out of seven ratings, with others offering Halal breakfast options at minimum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the first time, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre secured a CR gold rating for its prayer room facilities and Halal catering. Attractions and shopping malls are now seeking similar ratings, reflecting growing interest across the tourism sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In collaboration with the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong, HKTB also awarded Halal certification to fine-dining Chinese restaurant Chinesology, marking another milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HKTB\u2019s initiatives target key Muslim-majority markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Malaysia.
