The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed deep concern following Isreal\u2019s Friday raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital, the last major health facility in North Gaza, which has now been rendered non-functional, according to WHO website. Reports indicate that critical areas of the hospital, including the laboratory and surgical unit, suffered severe damage, with some sections reportedly set ablaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the aftermath, twelve patients and a female health worker were forced to evacuate to the destroyed Indonesian Hospital, which lacks adequate medical resources. The remaining 15 critical patients, along with caregivers and health staff, faced grave risks during their transfer under perilous conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The WHO highlighted that over the past two months, the area surrounding Kamal Adwan has seen nearly daily attacks, resulting in the deaths of 50 individuals, including five health workers. Since October 2024, WHO has verified at least 50 attacks on health facilities in the region, with only 10 out of 21 requested missions to Kamal Adwan being partially facilitated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
