The cholera outbreak, primarily spread through contaminated water, leads to severe diarrhea and dehydration, posing a significant health threat. Alongside this, the ministry also noted 15 new cases of dengue fever, raising the total to 8,008 infections and 16 deaths. Dengue, transmitted by mosquitoes, presents symptoms such as high fever and joint pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since April 2023, Sudan has been embroiled in conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), resulting in over 20,000 deaths and displacing more than 14 million people, according to UN estimates.
