Since May 2023, over 250 people have died and around 60,000 have been displaced due to the conflict. State police described the attackers as &#8220;armed militants,&#8221; while tribal representatives claimed that local volunteers were victims of a &#8220;premeditated massacre.&#8221; The situation remains tense following recent violent incidents, including the murder of a tribal woman.
