Key infrastructure, including 58 health facilities, has been submerged, leaving nearly 90 others inaccessible as 15 main roads, including those to the capital Juba, are cut off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of early October, around 890,000 individuals in flood-affected areas have been impacted. The situation is exacerbated by the influx of almost 800,000 refugees from Sudan, with rising cases of malaria (over 120,000 reported) and suspected cholera cases in Renk County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The World Health Organization (WHO) is responding by distributing 88 metric tonnes of emergency health kits, capable of treating over 870,000 people.
