In a recent experiment, a colorful mobile was attached to infants’ feet, allowing researchers to track their movements with a Vicon 3D motion capture system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The study found that foot movements were the most accurately classified, outperforming movements of other body parts by about 20%. The deep learning model, 2D-CapsNet, achieved an impressive 86% accuracy in analyzing these movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interestingly, infants who lost control of the mobile exhibited increased exploratory behavior, indicating they learned from their interactions. Some retained movement patterns that hinted at their earlier experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
