The grave, discovered during the restoration of a government school, contained the remains of people executed by ISIS after it seized control of Tal Afar and Sinjar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the 1,200 Turkmen victims were many women and children. The remains, some incomplete, have been transferred to Baghdad’s forensic department for DNA testing to match them with relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
