Found in the Farasan Banks and near Thuwal, the grumpy dwarfgoby inhabits coral reef walls, camouflaging among red coralline algae. Initially mistaken for the fiery dwarfgoby, researchers soon realized it was a previously undescribed species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Viktor Nunes Peinemann, who led the discovery, emphasized the importance of biodiversity in the Red Sea, noting that many species may vanish before they are even documented due to environmental changes.
