Historical artifacts from the Roman period, lost for decades, have been rediscovered in the ancient city of Perre, located in Adiyaman province, Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Field research conducted 1 kilometer south of the city revealed pottery, columns, relics, and various architectural pieces, now on display at the Adiyaman Museum. Museum Director Mehmet Alkan stated that these artifacts were initially unearthed near the Roman fountain of Perre in 1980 but went missing for 40 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The architectural pieces are estimated to be around 1,800 years old, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich historical heritage.
