The Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) in Indonesia has announced that all food importers must register their imported products on the online platform for the certification of foreign \u201cHalal\u201d products (SHLN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The BPJPH, part of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, stated that starting from next month, all importers will be required to register their imports through the online system for obtaining “Halal” certification for foreign goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The “Halal” certification, which will become mandatory from the beginning of the next month, will cover all imported food products, chemicals, and other materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this new regulation, obtaining a Halal certificate will be compulsory for various products such as food, beverages, medicines, cosmetics, and chemicals. The certification process will encompass all stages of production, storage, packaging, and sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new law also mandates the labeling of \u201cNon-Halal\u201d on all products containing forbidden ingredients, such as prohibited meats. Furthermore, any product not registered will be considered non-Halal, even if it carries a Halal label from the country of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indonesia’s food industry is currently valued at $280 billion, growing at a rate of 61.2% annually. Products related to bread, sweets, and cereals are particularly popular among Indonesians, with a market value of $51.99 billion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
