Tens of thousands of Iranians have started their pilgrimage to the holy city of Karbala.
The country\u2019s borders are \u201cfully prepared\u201d to ease the pilgrims\u2019 journey as much as possible for this year\u2019s Arbaeen pilgrimage. Many groups of pilgrims have arrived at the Khuzestan province, southwest Iran, to embark on their journey.
During a visit to the Khuzestan province, Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi stated that \u201cNecessary arrangements have been made with our Iraqi brothers,\u201d ensuring that the \u201cmovement of pilgrims will proceed smoothly\u201d.
In an interview, Hossein Zafari, spokesperson for Iran\u2019s Crisis Management Organisation, emphasised that actions are being taken to provide \u201crelief and services to the pilgrims\u201d, in addition to security. He also urged pilgrims to heed medical advice and to drive carefully inside and outside the country\u2019s borders.
A health delegation was also dispatched to Iran\u2019s western borders on Thursday. The delegation aims to keep the pilgrims well and healthy during the pilgrimage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
