This action is part of a broader initiative to eliminate goods produced with forced labor from the U.S. supply chain. The banned entities include Hong Kong-based Rare Earth Magnesium Technology Group Holdings and its parent company, Century Sunshine Group Holdings, alongside Zijin Mining Group’s subsidiary, Xinjiang Habahe Ashele Copper Co.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These companies have been added to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List, which now comprises over 70 entities linked to various products, including cotton apparel and solar panels. U.S. officials accuse Chinese authorities of establishing labor camps for Uyghurs and other minorities in Xinjiang, a claim that Beijing denies, labeling it as a “lie” aimed at destabilizing the region and containing China’s growth.
