He warned that these communities face significant threats, including violence and the impacts of industries like mining and agriculture, which lead to deforestation and land degradation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UN Chief underscored the need for their rights to self-determination, as outlined in the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, to be fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
