The Ashura-Day annual walking ritual of his Eminence Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadeq Shirazi was held in the holy city of Qom this morning, Wednesday July 17, in commemoration of Imam Hussain’s Martyrdom, peace be upon him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This ceremony is held every year in the morning of Ashura, in which Grand Ayatollah Shirazi walks barefoot and without a cloak, as a sign of mourning towards the holy shrine of Sayyeda Fatima al-Masouma, peace be upon her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
