At least 23 civilians were killed in an attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group in North Kordofan State, Western Sudan, Xinhua news agency reported today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to non-governmental groups, the RSF intercepted several vehicles heading to a local market and opened fire on the unarmed passengers. The Sudanese Doctors Network condemned the attack as a “heinous crime against defenseless civilians.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deadly conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF has been ongoing since April 2023, claiming over 16,650 lives so far.
