The Indonesian Agency for International Development (Indonesian AID) announced that its donation of bivalent oral polio vaccines, produced in Indonesia, has been administered to 8.6 million children in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chairperson of Indonesian AID stated that this vaccine donation demonstrates Indonesia’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and future of children worldwide, including those in Afghanistan, by immunizing them against polio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized the importance of the program since Afghanistan is one of the only two countries where polio remains endemic, with Pakistan being the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
