On the ruling of places such as mosques, shops, or people’s houses that have been usurped by oppressive governments, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: It is stated in the book of Urwa al-Wuthqa and some jurisprudence books that after such places are turned into a new place, they are not treated in Ahkam with their original status and thus routine passage in them is permissible.
