font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;\">After announcing that the school appreciates that this is a \u201cvery significant and special time of year for our Muslim community\u201d and saying that the school would be celebrating what Ramadan means next week in an assembly, the acting head Aaron Wright then proceeded to prohibit fasting during school hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 11.25pt 0in; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: windowtext; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;\">The Lion Academy Trust\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;\">runs four schools across East London so the prohibition on fasting would also apply to three other schools.Over 2,350 pupils attend all four schools and the proportion of Muslim students is thought to be high.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 11.25pt 0in;
