The Bangladeshi government has approved a major funding package totaling 84.82 billion Bangladeshi Taka ($723 million) to support persecuted Rohingya refugees and host communities in the southeastern Cox’s Bazar region, Anadolu Agency reported yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The financing will come from the government and international donors, the news agency mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It added that the funds are aimed at providing assistance to the over 1.2 million Rohingya refugees who have fled violence in Myanmar.
