Afghanistan’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation has reported a sharp increase in the number of families returning to the country from Iran and Pakistan over the past two days, Khaama Press reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to official figures, more than 200 families, both voluntarily and involuntarily, have crossed the border into Afghanistan during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry also confirmed the forced deportation of over a thousand migrants from Pakistan just two days prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This influx of returnees has exacerbated the country’s dire humanitarian crisis, which has been further aggravated by a recent deadly flood that has displaced thousands more people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
