The RSF has been besieging El Fasher for months, trapping approximately one million people in the last major population center in Darfur not under paramilitary control, the report added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local doctors described the situation as characterized by deaths from preventable causes, acute malnutrition, miscarriages, and a respiratory disease suspected to be linked to pollution from the ongoing shelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lack of medicines and funding exacerbates the crisis, leaving residents with no means of income and minimal assistance from the international community, they added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El Fasher, a humanitarian hub for Darfur, hosts a large population of internally displaced people, including those affected by ethnic violence over the past two decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
