The daily scholarly meeting of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadegh al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held on Sunday, Dhul Qa’dah 3. In this session, like the previous meetings, the Marja answered the questions of the attendees about various jurisprudence issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to the life of the Holy Prophet and the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon them, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: The Holy Prophet and the Commander of the Faithful, not in hundreds but in thousands of cases, suspended the execution of Hudud — in their treatment of the hypocrites, for example, at the time of the Holy Prophet and towards the enemies at the time of Amir ul-Momineen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the conditions for the implementation of Hudud, his Eminence said: The implementation of Hudud should not cause sentiments of hatred towards Islam in people, and if it does, it\u2019s not permissible to implement them. This is the condition for the implementation of Hudud. Besides, it is undoubtedly among the observed Sunnah of the Holy Prophet and the Commander of the Faithful, and applies to any of the Hudud in any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Marja went on to say: Even though the insulter of the Prophet is warranted to be killed, the Holy Prophet not only pardoned them on multiple occasions but also did not allow anyone to attack them. He always behaved well with the people, as it has been narrated in a hadith from Imam al-Sadiq that, as a result of the good behavior of the Holy Prophet towards the hypocrites, including the instance of performing Prayer over the body of the chief of the hypocrites, a thousand of them gave up their hypocrisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
