“Press freedom is a cornerstone of democracy, allowing for the free flow of information and the ability of journalists to hold those in power accountable,” the report states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In contrast, India’s neighbors Pakistan and Afghanistan have seen improvements, rising to 150th and 152nd place respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
