{"id":104495,"date":"2024-05-03T14:59:08","date_gmt":"2024-05-03T11:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/?p=104495"},"modified":"2024-05-03T14:59:13","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T11:59:13","slug":"shias-worldwide-commemorate-martyrdom-anniversary-of-imam-jafar-al-sadiq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/ahlulbayt-occasions\/104495-shias-worldwide-commemorate-martyrdom-anniversary-of-imam-jafar-al-sadiq\/","title":{"rendered":"Shias worldwide commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Shias around the world are commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, which falls on Shawwal 25th, corresponding to May 4th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mourning ceremonies and lectures are being held in the holy shrines, Islamic centers, mosques, Husseiniyahs to highlight the honorable biography and knowledge of Imam Ja&#8217;far al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Holy Karbala, the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, has been covered with black banners in commemoration of this sorrowful occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq is the sixth infallible Imam of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them. He is buried along with Imam al-Hassan, Imam al-Sajjad and Imam al-Baqir at the Baqi Cemetery in Medina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, has called on Muslims and the entire world to spread the moral teachings and knowledge of Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, describing his legacy as a culture of security and peace for all humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On behalf of Shiawaves, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Imam Al-Mahdi, may Allah Almighty hasten his honourable reappearance, and to Muslims on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shias around the world are commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, which falls on Shawwal 25th, corresponding to May 4th.
