In its message received by Shia Waves Agency, the foundation stated that it “calls for a general amnesty for prisoners of conscience, journalists, and political opponents, with the aim of promoting national reconciliation and enhancing social peace,” calling for the promotion of democratic principles and encouraging freedom of expression, diversity, and respect for human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The foundation demanded “the dropping of criminal sanctions against those convicted in commercial and economic cases, and called for the release of detainees serving sentences for minor offenses, in order to give them a chance to repent and improve their conditions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
