The Syrian Center for Justice and Accountability announced that dozens of mass graves and prisons used by ISIS during its control over parts of Syria have been discovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The center published a report, followed by Shia Waves Agency, with an interactive map showing 246 prisons for the organization and 63 mass graves, saying: “The map revealed 66 prisons and 35 graves for the first time based on evidence collected from survivors of the organization’s prisons, former members, as well as witnesses and documents.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report was prepared in collaboration with the Missing Persons and Forensic Medicine team working in Raqqa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report explained that the map prepared by the center is not limited to the sites used by the organization as official prisons, but also includes sites of training camps and temporary detention centers, in addition to private homes where Yazidi women were enslaved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It noted that the map includes the locations of graves where the organization buried its victims, including its own members and victims of coalition airstrikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By compiling a map that includes all these locations and linking them together, investigators at the center can create a visual image that reflects the possible patterns and interrelationships in this context comprehensively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
