A religious scholar and Mufti in the Indian city of Deoband, known as Abu Muhammad, expressed regret in a statement posted on social media for not mentioning Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in their religious sermons and lectures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mufti Abu Muhammad (of Saudi origin), as reported by media outlets followed by Shia Waves Agency, stated that “Sunni preaching sessions unfortunately lack mention of the virtues of the Prophet’s Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and suffice with mentioning the Companions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He continued that “preaching sessions have been and still are devoid of mentioning the virtues of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and their divine status.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that “it is incumbent upon all scholars of our Sunni sect to mention Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, specifically and without comparison to the Companions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Activists in the religious field stated: “This acknowledgment, although late, comes as a shock to hundreds of scholars and religious preachers from the Sunni or Salafi sect who refrained from mentioning Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
