In his statement on social media platform X, Guterres called on the world leaders to ensure that the needs and rights of all Afghan citizens are a top priority for the current authorities in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also pointed out the dire economic situation in Afghanistan, stressing that the UN\u2019s humanitarian response plan has received less than three percent of the required budget.
