The Joint Operations Command in Iraq announced on Tuesday the arrest of the financial official of the terrorist organization “ISIS” in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Command’s statement said, “Through intelligence efforts, including monitoring and tracking operations, the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service were able to arrest the so-called financial administrative official in the ISIS terrorist headquarters.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ISIS-linked terrorist, whose name was not revealed, was arrested after he entered Iraq in a forged passport and other travel documents, the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By the end of 2017, Iraq declared victory over ISIS by reclaiming the territories it had controlled since the summer of 2014, covering about a third of Iraq’s territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the organization is still active in the provinces of Anbar (west), Salah al-Din and Kirkuk (north), and Diyala (east). The government is conducting security and military operations to eliminate the terrorist operations within the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
