While Salwan Momika has been accused of providing false information in his asylum application, his actions of burning the Quran are deemed as a serious crime as they stirred protests in Muslim countries and caused diplomatic tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last year, the Iraqi expatriate set fire to a copy of the Quran in a neighborhood in Stockholm where the majority of residents are Muslims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
