The representatives of Pakistan, Iran, China and Russia, have lodged a joint protest with the Taliban regarding the rise in activities of various terrorist groups in Afghanistan, the Pakistani Express Tribune newspaper reported on Sunday, February 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Citing its sources, the Express Tribune said the protest took place last week during the “Afghanistan Regional Cooperation” meeting hosted by the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the report, these four countries, which have high stakes in Afghanistan, have stated in their protest that the activities of various terrorist groups in Afghanistan have not been sufficiently controlled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This comes after as a recent UN report revealed that the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was strengthened since the return of the Taliban rule. The report noted that while the Afghan Taliban generally had \u201csympathetic\u201d view about the TTP and its aims, some of its members joined the anti-Pakistan terrorist outfit as their religious duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
