British diplomat Rosie Diaz posted a video on Twitter that she had been testing a week-long fast until the end of Ramadan in solidarity with Muslims.

 

British diplomat Rosie Diaz posted a video on Twitter that she had been testing a week-long fast until the end of Ramadan in solidarity with Muslims.

The British diplomat and spokesperson for the British government in the Middle East and North Africa, said that she decided to fast in memory of those who suffered from the coronavirus.

“Some of you asked me about the benefit of fasting for me,” Diaz said. “I say it helps me focus on the fundamentals of life, think about others, and appreciate my blessings, and I think this is what we need in these difficult times that we are going through.”

“Having shared values means that we help each other and feel each other, the least I can do to express my solidarity with the Muslims of the region and the Muslims in Britain who contribute greatly to the resistance of the Corona pandemic, is to join them in fasting.”

Rosie Diaz, posted at the beginning of Ramadan, tweeted on Twitter to introduce her followers to the origin of the word Ramadan.

Diaz interacted with her followers on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, by posting a photo in her tweet containing the origin of the word Ramadan, and translating synonyms in English.
