A statement issued by 209 Shaheen Corps, according to the Afghan news agency (Khaama Press), stated that a prominent Taliban leader named “Mullah Yaqoub Ilyas Mansour” was holding a meeting in the Koshinda district of Balkh province when the Afghan air force launched an air strike based on intelligence information, killing 16 gunmen, including the leader.

The statement did not reveal more information in this regard, but added that more details about the raid will be revealed later.

For its part, the Taliban movement has not commented on this statement yet.
