A source in al-Hodeidah Port confirmed to al-Masirah Network that the Saudi coalition navy is seizing 20 ships of oil and food derivatives with more than half a million tons, mostly gasoline and diesel.

A source in al-Hodeidah Port confirmed to al-Masirah Network that the Saudi coalition navy is seizing 20 ships of oil and food derivatives with more than half a million tons, mostly gasoline and diesel.

The source added that among the seized ships, there are seven oil ships that have been pirated for more than a month, despite obtaining international permits to unload their cargo at the port.

The quantities of material seized on board exceed 400 thousand tons of oil derivatives, and 100 thousand tons of foodstuffs.

A Yemeni oil company spokesperson, Amin, said in a statement that “The United Nations verification and inspection mechanism takes two and three days, and after that the coalition forces seize the ships freely.”

He stressed that the permits granted by the United Nations for docking in the port of Hodeidah are not of value and the coalition does not give them any consideration.
