The representative of the organization in Iraq, Adham Ismail, said in a statement, “The decline in the infection rate in the country with coronavirus does not mean that the health situation is under control.”

He added, “The gatherings are a center for the spread of the pandemic,” calling for “the necessity of not reducing the curfew measures and continuing to prevent the occurrence of gatherings until the virus is finally controlled.”

He noted that “the World Health Organization continues to support Iraq in countering coronavirus and its total elimination.”
