Eleven members of the Afghan security forces were killed in an attack by Taliban terrorist militants targeting a security checkpoint in Shahrq district in Ghor province, central Afghanistan.

The Afghan newspaper, Talao News, reported that 20 Taliban militants were killed in the clashes, while the remnants of the Taliban set fire to two police vehicles and stole a third.

There was no immediate comment from the Taliban on the attack.
